Can you believe Spring is TWO weeks away? This has been a brutal winter, so I'm ready for it. My allergies won't be, but that's what tissues are for.

This month's question is: Whose perspective do you like to write from best, the hero (protagonist) or the villain (antagonist)? And why?
I haven't written a villain in a while, probably not since high school, but I tend to lean towards writing the good guy's point of view. I don't like going down the rabbit hole too far. My writing's dark enough already.
I have 10 days before my Kickstarter closes, and I'm so excited that it's funded! Here's to self-publishing in 2019!!

I probably haven't written a villain since high school, either. Most of my stories don't have a typical antagonist.
Hi, Deb! I'm with you in longing for spring. Unfortunately the season may technically start in two weeks, but 37 years living in the Denver Metro Area has taught me that March and April are two of our three snowiest months, and I can't be sure of no more snow until Mother's Day has passed. Meanwhile I'll continue to hug the fireplace. It has been cold and snowy! I don't like going too far down the rabbit hole either. Have a fun IWSG Day!
My family's all in New England, and I know they're more than ready for Spring—and they haven't even had as much snow as other parts of the country.
My fantasy novels have rotating POVs and there is the occasional villain scene. Sometimes they come very easily and other times they're a real struggle. It depends on what has to happen in the scene, I guess.

When I write my dark fiction, I feel like I can work up the scare factor better when I write in the protagonist's POV myself.
Speaking about dark fiction, because that's my area in writing, I actually prefer the fall and winter myself. But I am kind of looking forward to a break from the bleaker weather; we can all use a break from almost any kind of routine.
Good luck with the self-publishing! It's a hard road, one that I've been walking since 2013. But it's not an impossible one!
It's always fun to see how a good guy will fare in dark stories, so I can see why you'd prefer that perspective!
